Hello. My name is Sylvia Dennis. I am a Doula who is in the process of Certifying with Birth Arts International. Birth is a beautiful and empowering journey. I would be honored to offer you my assistance and support on your journey.
My Story
How I Got Here
Hello, I'm Sylvia Dennis. I am 28 year old Wife and Mother. I chose to become a Doula because of my experience with a Doula. My first birth was very traumatic and the differences between my birth with a Doula and without, were honestly astounding. I knew that I wanted to offer the support that was offered to me to other women. I am incredibly honored to be given the opportunity to support women and families in their journey. Each birth is different and it is my goal to help you along in your journey feeling educated and knowing you are supported.
Services
Postpartum Support
From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible.
Prenatal Visits
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, as your doula I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Birthing Guidance
Get extra personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. As a Doula, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer any support needed.
eDoula
Would you like the support of a Doula, but aren't comfortable with someone in Labor & Delivery with you? I offer an eDoula Service. I will skype with you up to four times before you baby is born, assist with education, and your birth plan. I will be available by text or phone, just as I normally would. I will give you and your support person guidance on positioning and other support techniques. I will also skype with you up to two times after your baby is born to offer any further support you may need or want.
